WARREN — Board of Health approves tobacco permit for Village Market after discovering unverified documentation. Chair Daniel Thibodeau, Vice Chair James McKeon, and Member Travis Baker voted unanimously to issue a new permit valid through June 30, 2026, following a Department of Revenue audit that found no record of the business's previous permit from May 2024 through September 2025. The Board also unanimously adopted a Home and Green Burials application and established a $100 application fee.
In a separate matter, the Board heard a presentation on the Rural Health Transformation Program, a 50-billion-dollar federal initiative for which Warren qualifies as a Rural 1 community; UMass has expressed interest in partnering to implement the program locally by September 1.
