Board of Selectmen approves $6.4M in warrants and bills; orders web accessibility study delay

WARREN — The Board of Selectmen unanimously approved three payroll and accounts payable warrants totaling $637,483.90 and fifteen bills totaling $18,717.08 at its March 12 meeting. The board also voted to raise voluntary group life insurance benefits from Boston Mutual, increasing the death payout from $4,000 to $7,500 at an approximate annual cost to the town of $1,200. Chair Richard J.
Eichacker, Vice Chair Derick R. Veliz, and Clerk David Dufresne agreed that the town should participate in the Quabbin-area Rural Health Transformation Program, a multi-town pilot aimed at improving rural healthcare access. The board tabled a CivicPlus web accessibility contract (quoted at $6,200 year one, $5,700 renewal) until March 26 to gather additional information.
