Warren selectmen greenlight $45,000 engineering contract for Hillside Avenue improvement, fully funded by Community Development Block Grant. Board also approved a two-step wage increase for Facilities Custodian Michael Carenzo to $20.42 per hour effective July 1, offset by reducing his stipend from $1,000 to $300 annually, a move that allows wages to count toward retirement. Chair Richard J.
Eichacker, Vice Chair Derick R. Veliz, and Clerk Raymond C. Kopacko voted unanimously to close the warrant for the June 11 Annual Town Meeting and accept the fiscal year 2027 budget, which reflects a 2.7 percent increase and a $594,000 drop in transportation costs after Southbridge bus service was eliminated.
