Warren Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee reviewed the fiscal year 2027 budget without taking formal action. Town Administrator James Ferrera walked the board through salary increases including a two-step Facilities Custodian raise and a proposed Police Chief longevity stipend, while benefits expenses are expected to spike 25 percent with the addition of two firefighter positions. Chair Richard J.
Eichacker proposed consolidating the town's five $500 sports fund allocations into a single fund. The board also reviewed three budget scenarios for the Quaboag Regional School District, including West Brookfield override options of $1.1 million and $1.6 million.
