Cemetery Commission approves prior minutes, reviews budget and expansion plans.
Cemetery Commission · Meeting of April 21, 2026
Warren Cemetery Commission reviews expansion options, defers lot-transfer policy. Vice Chair Steve Cristol opened the April 21 meeting with four of five members present; Chair William Brunk was absent. Highway Superintendent Jeremy Olson assessed two potential burial-plot expansion areas: the Founder Section (five to ten plots) and the Bar Gate at Cemetery Road (approximately 50 plots), though soil testing will be required.
The Commission tabled a policy governing lot purchases by former residents, scheduling the vote for a future meeting when all three commissioners can attend; Clerk Cindy Baxter will create standardized transfer logs to manage the informal process currently handled by McKeon and Baxter. The Commission also added green burial options to the May 26 agenda at the Board of Health's request.
