Planning Board reorganizes; Floodplain amendment advances to town meeting

WARREN — Planning Board reorganizes and backs floodplain zoning amendment. Derick R. Veliz was elected Chair, Richard Eichacker as Vice-Chair, and Drue King as Clerk in unanimous votes.

The Board unanimously recommended the proposed Floodplain District Zoning Bylaw amendment for presentation at the June 11 Annual Town Meeting, with Planning Board Administrative Assistant Laura Sherris to complete a report on the Board's recommendations for the warrant. The Board also continued its public hearing on Paquette Bros. Contracting's application to construct six two-family dwellings on Cemetery Road to June 1, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., allowing time for Conservation Commission review and plan updates.

A public hearing for Special Permit No. 317 and Site Plan Review No. 74 at 21 Quaboag Street (Verizon New England) is scheduled for June 15, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
