Warren Board Appoints Tetreault Veterans Agent

Select Board · Meeting of September 17, 2026

Warren Select Board appoints a new Veterans Agent and sketches a path to a police station vote. The board voted 3-0 to appoint Jeanne Tetreault, a retired veteran and Westbrook Field resident, effective September 22. Fire Chief Adam LaVoy reported 49 fire calls and 65 ambulance calls in August, and the board approved all four quarters of fiscal 2026 ambulance abatements, with LaVoy noting the town typically "retains about a third" of what it bills.

Town Administrator Jim reported $484,227.72 in August collections, about $100,000 ahead of last year. The board also tabled a land donation offer from Oren and Cynthia Mason on Brimfield Road for two weeks, and discussed a tentative November-to-May sequence, site selection, a two-thirds debt exclusion, and a ballot question, for financing a new police station, with resident Dan Thibodeau urging the town to insist on "100 percent drawings" before any construction bid.
