Warren Water Committee Approves Arden Group Payment, Flags Warehouse Billing Gap
Water · Meeting of March 24, 2026
Warren Water Committee clears a $8,659 Arden Group balance and flags a potential billing gap at a large West Warren warehouse. The committee voted unanimously at its March 24 meeting to pay the final balance owed to Arden Group for a scum pump project, after the original payment had been processed at the wrong rate. Superintendent Ted reported a fire department walkthrough drew about 25 personnel to the wastewater treatment plant, along with lateral and grease trap repairs at two Main Street and Spring Street addresses.
A town official urged the committee to establish a sewer capital stabilization account funded through fall retained earnings, noting the department drew roughly $90,000 from retained earnings last year to balance its budget. The committee also identified the former Hardwick Knitters warehouse on Pulaski Street as a likely unbilled commercial sewer user, with staff directed to contact the property owner and establish an account billed by employee count.
