Warren Planning Board closes hearing on gravel pit earth removal permit
Planning Board · Meeting of February 9, 2026
Warren Planning Board closes hearing on Rivers Bend Road gravel pit, moves to update floodplain bylaw. Vice Chair Richard Eichacker told the board that updated FEMA flood maps require Warren to revise Section 10 of its zoning bylaw, warning that without action, residents "would lose their flood insurance." The board voted unanimously to close the public hearing on special permit 316, filed by Maple Lane Development for earth removal on Rivers Bend Road, with conditions expected to include a 60-decibel noise limit and dust mitigation for crushing operations. A decision is due by the board's February 23 meeting under the state's 90-day rule.
Members also approved $184.10 in legal advertising costs and payroll totaling $1,434.31 across two pay periods, and noted a previously stalled 452 Cronin Road solar array project appears to be moving again.
